Donation from B-CC Class of '61

December 27, 2017 by Barbara Johnson (Register to contact)

We are pleased to tell you that we have made our class donation of $7,000 to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Educational Foundation for a worthwhile project for the school faculty and students. This project will support programs, speakers, and educational experiences to end bulling and promote suicide prevention.
We asked classmates for suggestions about what to do with our remaining funds. A note from classmate Bill Woodward gave us the idea to earmark the funds to go toward this aim. Many thanks to Bill for his suggestion.
This donation will not only make a difference in the lives of current B-CC students, but perhaps it will also serve as an apology to those in our own class who were bullied. We thank our many classmates for making this gift possible.
